Comic books
Comic books originally started up as an alternative method of addressing both the deaf and the hearing portions of society. Individuals have different interests, thus we aim for our services and contributions to society to be accessible and presented in various formats, not just for the deaf.
Our objective is to inform the public about these services and their usefulness. This may lead to gradual dissolving of the unfamiliarity, barriers and fear from the unknown.
How Mr. Michal found a job – is a story about a deaf man who was looking for a job. He turned to the job coaches at APPN for assistance, and they helped him on his job-hunting quest.
Mrs. Jana and her dream of her patisserie – is a story about a deaf lady, who opened up her own patisserie, and carried on her business using the skills she learned in the Deaf Entrepreneur Minimum course (www.mnp.cz).
