About us

APPN – a career counselling agency for deaf and hard of hearing people was established on 15th June 2006 as a response to the state of employment and employability of deaf people on a labour market in the Czech Republic.

Our main objective is to work actively to develop a healthy and stable labour market for people with hearing disabilities and to increase the availability and quality of social services for the deaf and hard of hearing people. Our main principle is respect for every individual. We realize the importance of work in all people’s lives and the need to assert themselves on the labour market according to their abilities. Our advantage is continuous development and teamwork. We come up with new ideas that we are not afraid to implement.

Our work is largely dependent on a government grant MPSV, which covers only 50% of our activities. The remaining amount must be covered from other sources to realize services and further development of the agency.
